Understanding the various delivery options is essential for a smooth experience for your buyer. In StubHub, we give the sellers the option to choose between four delivery methods: Mobile Transfer, Mobile ticket, PDF, and Physical.

The availability of each one will depend on the event. Below you can find a comprehensive guide to the types of delivery methods and how to deliver them.

1. Mobile transfer: URLs and external transfer

This method has become the most frequently used in the events. In this electronic format, the tickets must be displayed on a smartphone. There are three types of Mobile transfer tickets, and all of them should be listed in the same way. You’ll only notice a difference when delivering the tickets.

  • Single URL/Token: the original marketplace emails a single link for all seats. This URL gives the user access to a QR code that can be saved to a digital wallet (i.e.: Google Pay, Wallet Pass, Passwallet, Apple Wallet. ...)
  • One seat, one URL: the original marketplace emails a link for each seat. These URLs give the user access to a QR code that can be saved to a digital wallet (i.e.: Google Pay, Wallet Pass, Passwallet, Apple Wallet. ...)
  • External Mobile Transfer: the tickets are delivered through a third-party app. This could be the venue, performer, or the ticketing app. In most cases, you’re allowed to transfer the tickets to another attendee by introducing the other person’s email

2. Screenshot: mobile tickets

In a few cases, the original marketplace delivers the QR tickets through a third-party app but does not allow the transfer. If this QR is not a rotating or dynamic code, you may take a screenshot of it and then either pre-upload the image to your listing, and once it’s sold the buyer will receive it, or upload it to your sale. Bear in mind that you must not take a screenshot of a PDF file and if the transfer is allowed, you must list your tickets as Mobile Transfer. This method will only be available in those events where we identify there is no issue with screenshots.

3. Electronic: PDF

If you have a PDF file, you must list your tickets in this category. You can either pre-upload the file to your listing, and once it’s sold the buyer will receive it, or upload it to your sale. We recommend that you pre-upload them as this may give you a better chance to sell your tickets fast.

4. Physical: Paper, bracelets, or any hard copies

This category includes all tickets that need to be mailed to your customer. This format has been less frequently used nowadays. If you choose that option, your buyer will have to provide an address and then this information will be shared with you.
